Using Custom Forms within Outlook may cause problems with Accucard for Outlook

PROBLEM

Using Custom Forms within Outlook may cause problems with Accucard for Outlook

Issues
1. Error "AccuCard for Outlook cannot be installed for there was an error opening Microsoft Outlook. Please make sure that Outlook is installed correctly and try again"
2. Microsoft Outlook does not display the AccuCard service icons in your Contact folder.
3. Custom Forms may be overwritten..

SOLUTION


The only solution at this time, is to disable any 3rd party Custom Forms, install AccuCard for Outlook, and then re-enable your 3rd party Custom Forms:

1. From the outlook click the tools menu > options > other > advanced Options > com add-Ins

2. De-Select all com add-Ins listed so they are not checked

3. Click OK

4. Close outlook and then restart the computer

5. Install AccuCard for Outlook

5. After the AccuCard for Outlook installation is completed, you can go back to your COM Add-Ins, and select them to turn them back on.
