COREX TECHNOLOGIES NAMES PETER J. WEYMAN AS PRESIDENT

Former Vice President of Research and Development for Corex Promoted to Lead Company as it Expands its Contact Maintenance Platform

Cambridge, Mass.— September 23, 2003: Corex Technologies Corporation, the leading developer of contact maintenance and business card scanning solutions, today announced it has named Peter J. Weyman as its new president, effective immediately. Weyman will report to Jonathan Stern, who will continue his role as CEO of Corex. Weyman most recently served as vice president of research and development for Corex.

"In the past year, Corex has introduced significant new offerings such as CardScan.net and AccuCard for Outlook, which firmly establish our leadership position in the contact maintenance market and present tremendous growth potential," said Jonathan Stern, founder and CEO of Corex Technologies. "Peter is an extraordinary businessman and with his addition to the executive team, Corex is poised to take advantage of these new opportunities. Peter's proven track record, leadership skills and experience taking new products to market will propel Corex towards achieving its outstanding potential."

In this newly created position, Weyman will be responsible for overseeing all business aspects of the company, including operations, new business initiatives, marketing and new product development. Weyman will also be responsible for furthering the development of the company's current product offerings, CardScan and AccuCard for Outlook. CardScan Executive, Corex's flagship product, is the world's leading business card scanner that transforms ordinary, static business cards into usable electronic information. AccuCard for Outlook is the latest product in the company's contact maintenance platform, designed to end the problem of out-of-date business contact data. Based on a successful feature of CardScan—AccuCard for Outlook is an automatic updating service that fully integrates with Microsoft Outlook.

Weyman brings more than 25 years of general and engineering management experience in the computer software and hardware industry to his new position at Corex Technologies. Prior to joining Corex, Weyman was president and CEO of application service provider Fornova, Inc. Before Fornova, he served as a vice president and general manager at Rogue Wave Software of Boulder, Colorado, a position he came to after he coordinated Rogue Wave Software's acquisition of NobleNet, where he served as CEO. Before joining NobleNet, Peter was vice president of strategic marketing and engineering for VMARK Software (now part of Ascential Software), and vice president of engineering for Prime Computer.

"I'm excited by the opportunity to lead the first-rate team at Corex," said Weyman. "Corex has a ten-year tradition of innovation and excellence that's evidenced by our hundreds of thousands of delighted customers. Our CardScan business card scanner is the market-leading scanner because it's a great product backed by outstanding service and support, and our new AccuCard for Outlook service is the first in a series of products that will change how people manage their business contact information. I look forward to developing these products further and helping the company reach new levels of success."
